LO: To write a recipe

To I want to write a recipe for one of your favourite foods.  You need to write a title for the recipe so I know what it is, ingredients, method and either a picture (2 star) or equipment needed (3 star).

The method on a recipe tells you how to make the food.  It is step by step instructions which start with imperative 'bossy' verbs. 

For example:

Measure the ingredients.

Pour them into a bowl.

Mix them all together.

Watch the video on imperative verbs to learn what they are and how to use them.  Then complete the worksheet on imperative 'bossy' verbs in your workbook.

Have a think and then either look in some cookbooks at home, ask someone or look up one online.  What is one of your favourite foods?
