Zones of Regulation
At Ongar Primary School all classrooms have a ‘Zones of Regulation’ display (see above) which categorises a range of feelings into four colour groups.
Being in the green zone is obviously a desirable place to be but in real life this isn’t
always possible.
Identifying which zone your child (or you) might be in and acknowledging
the accompanying feelings can help.
The question is then, what do you do about it?
Is there a way to move out of the yellow/blue/red zone and back into the green?
