West Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service: 0300 247 0122 www.essexfamilywellbeing.co.uk | A service provided by Essex County Council and the NHS and run by the HCRG Care Group and Barnardo’s. It provides a range of free to access child and family services. For example, The Healthy Family Team (option 1) links to health visitors and school nurses. Option 3 is the Specialist Services such as Paediatrician, dietician, allergy and continence specialists. |

SET CAMHS 0800 953 0222 | This service provides advice and support to children, young people and their families where there is emotional wellbeing or mental health difficulties. It is open to young people between the ages of 0-18, or up to 25 for those with special educational needs. |
CDC – Child Development Centre | This is the department you access when you have concerns about your child’s development, whether this be cognitive, physical, social and/or emotional. Referral is made via the child’s GP or school SENCo. |
Educational Psychologist (also known as ‘EP’ or ‘Ed Psy’) Helpline | This helpline is for carers and parents of children and young people up to the age of 19 who have concerns about their children’s education or development. You will speak to a qualified Educational Psychologist who will listen to your concerns and work with you to find a positive way forward. See separate flyer on school website for more information. |
Mind in West Essex | One half day a week an Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)works within the school as part of the Children & Young Peoples Mental Health Support Team (MHST). They may work directly with parents (where a child is experiencing anxiety and/or challenging behaviour), with small groups of children or with whole classes. Any parent interested in accessing this service should contact the school’s SENCo. |
Supporting your neurodiverse child | A booklet written by parents for parents which explains a range of neurodiverse conditions such as ADHD, Dyspraxia, Tourette’s Syndrome and many more, and how you can support yourself and your child. Advice and further support links in many areas including diet, sleep, toileting and behaviour. Highly recommended. Link below |
