On behalf of the children, parents and governors it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Ongar Primary School. We hope this website provides all the information you need but are always very happy to welcome visitors to our school, so that they too can experience the positive, caring and enjoyable atmosphere for themselves.
Based in Ongar and set in large and beautiful grounds our school provides our children with a safe, happy and stimulating learning environment. All that we do at Ongar Primary is underpinned by our Three Rights: The Right to Respect, The Right to Safety and The Right to learn.
We offer creative learning opportunities that stimulate, excite and enrich, making your child successful now and for the future. Our curriculum is rooted in National Curriculum, with its ambitious objectives and breadth of content. It is largely delivered through a highly engaging topic approach, in order to give context and links and with a view that it will encourage all our children to be confident, resilient, life-long learners.
We place the quality of relationships as a high priority for our staff, pupils and parents and provide strong pastoral support for our children and families. The wellbeing and happiness of every child is at the heart of all we do.
As head teacher I am proud to lead a team of dedicated professionals who are fully committed to providing the best possible education for all our children. We all aim to reach the highest possible standard in everything we do and in doing this, support children to become confident, independent learners with a thirst to continually learn and improve.
The staff at Ongar value your support and we look forward to working closely with you. If at any point we can be of help please do not hesitate to get in touch.
