Year 2

Happy New Year and welcome back to year 2!

This is a strange way to start a new year and a new class but hopefully we will back in class soon and I can get to know you all as I am very excited to work in such a fantastic year two class.

 

On this page you will find your home learning. I am still learning how to use it all so if you have any questions or can not access something please let me know.  It is really important that you keep up with your home learning,  When you click on the day icon, it will take you to the Spelling, Maths and English for that day.  Each lesson will have an explanation of the task along with videos to support your learning as well as an activity.  

 

Once you have completed your work please take a photo and email it to me at year2@ongar-pri.essex.sch.uk just like you did before.  If you have any questions or need any help or support please email me anytime.  

 

Each day you will be set:

- English

- Maths

- Family Learning (choose one a day)

- 15 minutes of Reading either Bug Club or a book from home

- 15 minutes of Lexia (I have now emailed all logins to you)

- 15 minutes of spellings

 

I look forward to seeing all of the wonderful work you do at home and also seeing you all back in school soon.

Welcome back year 2!

I hope you all had a restful half term as you all deserved it!  Hopefully we will be back in school soon.

 

Zoom Meetings:

Tuesdays 10am - Story time

Guided reading groups - I have emailed all of you your timeslot (1x week)

1X reading video per week emailed to me reading a bug club book

 

Lessons to be completed each day:

- 1 hour of Maths

- 1 hour of English

- 20 minutes of Spelling

- 20 minutes of Lexia

- 20 minutes reading of bug club or a book at home

- 1 hour family learning (choose 1 activity a day)

 

Please send all completed work and photos of any fun and fabulous things you are doing at home to year2@ongar-pri.essex.sch.uk for feedback each day.
