Homework
In years 3 to 6, homework is set weekly by the class teachers and will be expected to be handed in the following week. The homework set will be related to prior learning from either that week or the weeks before. It will be based around Maths or English topics.
By being related to class work, parents will be able to see what their child is learning as well as join in their learning journey. If a child struggles with their homework, an adult in school will help them understand the concept better, either in lessons or at some point during the school day.
In addition to set homework, children can access Times Tables Rockstars, Bug Club and Lexia online.
Children are expected to read daily and practice their spellings.

In Years 1 and 2 children choose their tasks from a homework menu. The tasks are set for the whole half term and can be completed in any order. The purpose of this homework for our younger children is to create opportunities for you to work with your child and talk about their learning.
Children are expected to read their school reading book daily.
Children also have a log-in for Bug Club and Lexia, which they should log on to at least twice a week to practice their reading skills.
