LO To count vertices of 2D shapes

Today we are counting vertices of 2D shapes.

Vertices is just a fancy way of saying the corner.  It is where two sides of a shapes meet.

I find it easier if I put a circle around each vertices I have counted. This helps me to make sure I don't count a vertices twice.  Not all 2D shapes look the same, we can have  three triangles that all look completely different.

2* Complete the worksheet counting the vertices of shapes and first diving deeper question

3* Complete the Diving Deeper questions - start with first one

Watch my video below for how to complete today's lesson.
